The role

As part of our Maritime group, the Support Services Coordinator will play a key role in furthering the development of Saab’s 9LV combat system / combat management system across the full RAN surface fleet.

The Support Services Coordinator will be responsible for business performance of Repairable Item Management (RIM) and Spares Inventory Management (SIM) for Maritime Support Services.

They will:

• Manage and execute Repairable Item and Spares Inventory Management activities
• Coordinate specific aspects of a number of tasks including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closures
• Be the primary point of customer contact for all matters relating to RIM and SIM tasking
• Action limited project control tasks such as internal and external report preparation
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure optimum tasking.

About you

Your experience/skills will include:

• At least five years in the defence forces or defence industry in a small project team, business or engineering management environment
• Supply chain, including purchasing and coordination of suppliers, clients and stakeholders
• Defence Inventory Management
• Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, ideally relating to maintenance and supply
• ADF Warehouse and Distribution Service processes including equipment cataloguing/codification and MILIS Warehousing
• Knowledge of INCO terms and import/export conditions (desirable)

Werribee Secondary College is a highly regarded school in the Wyndham Education Precinct. • Defence aircraft armaments/ordnance safety experience a strong advantage but not essential

Senior Roles - responsibilities may include:

• Technical team leadership, mentoring and guidance

• Driving airworthiness compliance & high professional standards

• Owning technical updates and process development across multiple sites.

Junior Roles - responsibilities may include:

• Working in a collaborative team environment

• Generating and maintaining solutions to ensure our fleets' continuing airworthiness

• Conducting technical analysis, flight safety review, investigations, modifications and repairs
