The opportunity

We are seeking a SeniorTechnical Officer - Avionics to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail.

The role is based in Williamtown but, depending on the candidate's experience, other locations and remote support can be considered.

As ASenior Technical Officer - Avionicsyou Will

  • Conduct technical analysis, flight safety reviews, investigations and develop modifications and repairs related to aircraft avionics/electrical/software systems;
  • Generate and maintaining solutions to ensure our fleets' airworthiness in the Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) environment; and
  • Work in a collaborative team environment.
To Be Considered For The Role You Will Have
  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in an electrical/electronic discipline. (Cert IV in Aviation/Avionics)
  • Familiarity with engineering change processes.
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security and trade controls requirements.
