The mission of Amazon Global Security Operations is to mitigate security and operational risks to our personnel, data, and physical assets. Amazon is looking for a detail-oriented individual to provide risk and crisis management triage, coordination, and facilitation; security risk monitoring; coordinating and facilitating the crisis management response to significant unforeseen and reasonably foreseen crisis events.

The Program Manager - Risk, Crisis & Resilience (PMRCR) will take the lead in coordinating responses to workplace incident management events, risk assessment for site selection/locations, training and education around incident and risk management with non-risk professionals, maintenance of a local risk register, management of other security or exigent incidents, along with building and maintaining the AU-Global relationship with the Global Security Operations Centre and Global Risk Management teams. The PMRCR must also deal effectively with ambiguity and make response related decisions sometimes with incomplete information in the best interest of Amazon.

Other Responsibilities may include:
· Guide the design of threat and risk management programs, controls and testing mechanisms in collaboration with internal teams to ensure industry best practice is met or exceeded.
· Coordinate the roll out and continuous improvement of strategic programs, audits and initiatives in your region
· Identify, prioritize and coordinates work streams, analytical requests and other tasks as necessary
· Establish SOPs, process controls, recommend revisions and ensure alignment with risk and regulatory requirements.
· Support incident management teams responding to high impact incidents in your region
· Collect, collate, analyze, and disseminate accurate, timely and actionable reporting on loss, risk, threat and their future development.

The successful candidate must have a proven record of effective incident and crisis management capabilities, be innovative and creative when working to solve problems and identify risks, excellence in coaching and training of incident-related practices and demonstrate good judgment while under pressure.

A secondary function of the role will be to support in preparing and supporting Australian operational leadership and sites during periods of heightened and direct risk. This will be achieved through the developing a deep understanding of the various functions, their locations, inherent and developing risks and working to develop immediate and long term responses and training for sites, up to and including business continuity planning.

They will also be able to operate autonomously, use discretion when dealing with sensitive and critical information, and apply sound business principles and data analysis to identify problems and initiate actions to address them.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and should be able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders not limiting to business operations, legal, health and safety etc.


· 6+ years of working in a Security Operations, or Security / Emergency Operations of Multinational Companies.
· 2+ years in a leadership role in Risk, Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management or Regional Operation Center Management
· Overall experience of 5+ Years in Security / Law Enforcement / Defence Force / Emergency Services.
· Bachelor’s degree in related field (Data Analysis, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Global Security, Risk Management, Business Resilience, Extremism, Political Science, Business Intelligence, Analytical disciplines etc.).
· Track record of creative problem solving, and the desire to create and build new processes
· Strong time management and multitasking skills as well as attention to detail, project management skills and experience
· Ability to speak and write English to a good standard (to IELTS Band 6 or above; or equivalent).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to associates and management across diverse sites
· Highly proficient in using multiple software applications simultaneously (software multi-tasking)
· Demonstrate working knowledge of Workplace Incident Management (workplace violence), Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity
· Excellent grasp of MS Office Suite and programs to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, SharePoint, etc.
· Experience in balancing stress and workload to ensure success and continuity of operations, ability to work with multiple, competing deadlines, with great attention to detail
· Experience with the information gathering processes, risk management strategies and analytical methodology.


· Military/intelligence/law enforcement/geopolitical risk analysis experience
· Strong knowledge and interest in Geo Political issues and security affairs across Australia and Asia-Pacific
· Experience managing in a security operations center type environment in Multinational companies
· Experience generating intelligence reports and analysis
· Professional (CPP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Member of Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), etc.
