RAAFA is a dynamic and evolving organisation in a growing and ever-changing industry. RAAFA has a rare and exciting opportunity as we are looking for a Clear Skies Coordinator to join our team.

A little bit about us…

RAAFA is one of the larger not for profit and charitable service providers within Western Australia. With over 750 staff, we strive to provide services that go Above and Beyond to our members and stakeholders across the Ex-Defence force community. As well as provide care and services within Retirement Living, Residential Aged Care, Community Services, collectively known as Seniors Living.

Clear Skies is our program of community and philanthropic activities that support the wider veteran’s community and RAAFA’s Charitable Purpose. Our work in Clear Skies is evolving and developing under the progressive leadership of our Head of Clear Skies with many exciting veteran support projects due to commence in coming months.

The opportunity available to you…

This newly created position is a rare opportunity for someone with a passion for veteran’s support services, and for someone who is keen to be involved in some meaningful and purposeful projects, whilst also partnering with RAAFA’s operational services to deliver an Above and Beyond membership experience to people living in RAAFA communities and beyond.

You will act as a brand ambassador for RAAFA and represent Clear Skies and RAAFA’s Values each and every day as you interact with stakeholders.

The role of Clear Skies Coordinator will:
Coordinate all Clear Skies activities whilst continuously identifying new and innovative ways for improvements in our service.
Offer Project Co-ordination and support on all key Clear Skies projects, partnering with key stakeholders internal and external to RAAFA.
Coordinate RAAFA’s end to end Membership, continuously enhancing membership value.
Offer ongoing administration support to the Head of Clear Skies, including diary management, preparing agendas, assisting with, and preparing letters, reports and presentations, minute taking and accurate record keeping.
Provide high quality correspondence, through numerous methods, to various key stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with other positions across RAAFA in various Clear Skies related activities.

To be successful in this role you bring:
A passion for the Not-for-Profit and Charitable Purpose ethos
A methodical approach to process management with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional written and oral communication skills with a proven track record of producing quality business correspondence
A passion for high-quality Public Relations, Marketing and Communications
An innovative and fresh approach in offering an exceptional service and experience to the end user.
Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced environment and on a varied range of activities
An ability to offer a collaborative and consultative approach.
The ability to build relationships, have strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour goes a long way at RAAFA!
