Find out more at The Role Spotless is the lead contractor providing Estate Maintenance and Operation Services (EMOS) for the Department of Defence in Queensland and Southern New South Wales. As lead contractor within the region we deliver a suite of services to support Defence capability. We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable National Planner-Scheduler to be part of the Spotless Defence and Critical Infrastructure team. This position will oversee the planning and scheduling functions associated with key service lines within the EMOS Contract. This role will report to the National Strategic Estate Manager and will deliver a range of services, including but not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage the team of Planner-Schedulers to ensure all relevant requirements are incorporated into the maintenance plans;
  • Collaborate with the Reliability Engineer to find opportunities to optimise maintenance activities and frequencies;
  • Ensure the synchronisation and electronic information exchange of the relevant maintenance task lists and maintenance plans between the Spotless Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Defence's Estate Information System (GEMS);
  • Provision of detailed analysis, information and reports as required;
  • Adhere to Contract Management Plan procedures;
  • Continuously seek new and innovative ways of delivering maintenance services;
  • Effectively communicate the maintenance plan strategy to all relevant personnel;

  • Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory);
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications (or extensive industry experience) in Facilities Management (FM), Engineering or related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Significant experience leading a maintenance planning team;
  • High-level CMMS expertise;
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP Real Estate and Plant Maintenance modules;
  • Good knowledge of maintenance related Legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice;
  • High-level problem-solving abilities;
  • Excellent client relationship building skills and customer service skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, including interpersonal, communication ability;
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and is a self-starter;
